In addition to our 7-step Lawn Care Program, we also offer supplementary services for your particular property’s needs. Talk to us about these services, along with options for tick control and deer repellent (use links here).

Irrigation Management

Irrigation management and moisture control is crucial to the overall health of your lawn. We will program your irrigation system to coincide with the seasons and anticipated weather patterns. We will also recommend and perform periodic adjustments for temperature changes and rainy vs. drought conditions. Your system should also be checked periodically for leaks and efficiency.

Bentgrass Elimination

Bentgrass can be a serious problem because it can damage and overrun other types of grass within your lawn. Because bentgrass grows sideways, it can also easily contract and spread disease to your otherwise healthy lawn.

Bentgrass cannot be treated as a pre-emergent problem, so it’s important to eliminate it as soon as it appears within any section of your lawn. Our herbicide treatments are applied directly to the affected area, avoiding damage to surrounding grass.

Nutsedge Elimination

Nutsedge (or “Nutgrass”) is an aggressive weed that is difficult to detect and more difficult to eliminate. Because nutsedge can look like grass, you may not know there is a problem until the weed has already spread within the root system of your lawn.

Depending on the severity of the infestation, we may be able to remove nutsedge manually. There are also herbicide treatments that can be used for large-scale problems with nutsedge. We can treat nutsedge with a specially-formulated herbicide, and we will provide a custom plan for your lawn that includes pre-emergent treatment, depending on the severity of the problem.

Composting

Organic composting is an environmentally-safe way to enrich soil. By adding compost to your maintenance schedule, your lawn will benefit from micronutrients and trace minerals that can complement the nutrients from commercial fertilizer.

The high amount of organic material found in compost improves water distribution and retention, which supports the overall health of your lawn. Compost also helps in fighting soil-borne disease by changing the way microbes interact with grass and plant roots.

We use 100% natural compost comprised of carbon-rich sources such as small branches, wood chips, plant trimmings, dry leaves and other decomposed yard waste. The right balance of nutrients and use of compost can help regulate soil pH and improve soil texture.
